Hosting and server logs

lima-city hosts the website and may process IP address, requested URL, date and time, browser information, referring page and error details for secure operation, fault analysis and abuse prevention. The configured operational retention is up to 30 days, subject to overriding legal obligations of the provider.

Contact by email

The website does not operate a contact form. If you send an email, the sender address, name, subject, message, attachments and technical mail-delivery data are processed through lima-city email service only to handle the correspondence. Contact emails are normally retained for up to 365 days where needed for correspondence.

Essential cookies and language preference

WordPress may use essential authentication and administration cookies for authorised editors. Polylang may store the visitor's language preference. No advertising or behavioural analytics cookies are intentionally installed by PRANIS Release 1.7.1.

Maps and external content

The Current Position and Quest Map use OpenSeaMap / OpenStreetMap. The map loads directly when either page is opened. The providers may receive IP address, browser information, requested map area, date and time and the website origin as referrer. Attribution and licensing links remain visible on the map.

Public position and route information

Release 1.7.1 uses the manually configured Lagos-area fallback only. Automatic GNSS ingest and publication are disabled until the separate runtime acceptance test is completed.

Editorial, translation and backup tools

Authorised administrators may use YLabs Connector for WPWriter to inspect and update website content. Automatic translation is disabled in the release configuration; approved German content is locked against automatic rewriting. Backups are created with UpdraftPlus with owner-configured storage and are normally retained for up to 90 days.

Social publishing

Authorised editors may send selected post titles, links and media to Buffer and the configured social networks. This transfer occurs only for the channels deliberately enabled by the site owner.

Images and rights

Images and illustrations may contain information about people, places and dates. PRANIS publishes material only where an appropriate permission, licence or other lawful basis is documented and removes unnecessary embedded location metadata where required.

Security and abuse prevention

Administrative access uses restricted accounts and two-factor authentication. When enabled, the GNSS endpoint uses short-lived pseudonymous rate-limit records, and its ingest token is stored only as a password hash.

Recipients and international processing

Data is disclosed only to the service providers named above and only as required for hosting, mail delivery, administration, translation, maps, backups or deliberately enabled social publishing. Providers may process data outside Switzerland. Where required, transfers are based on an adequacy decision, contractual safeguards or another legally permitted mechanism.

Your rights and complaints

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal data and object to processing. Privacy enquiries may be sent to hello@pranis.quest. You may also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.

Changes

This policy is updated when hosting, email, maps, administration, translation, backups or other integrated services materially change.
